Shall We Shakespeare is a collaborative music project where artists create original songs using William Shakespeare's words as lyrics.

Founded by Jenn Gambatese and Jerry Korman, its aim is to shine a spotlight on the Bard's boundless creativity by inspiring new music. Whether you're a songwriter, musician, Shakespeare enthusiast, or simply curious about the creative possibilities of this endeavor, we invite you to join us!

Our first contribution is our interpretation of "Shall I Compare Thee." This setting of Sonnet 18 was composed by Terrance Mann and Jerome Korman for Romeo and Juliet the Musical—a pop-rock adaptation conceived by Terrance Mann. It was during that production that Jenn and Jerry first met, when Jenn joined the company as Juliet's understudy. Thus began a friendship that has now spanned more than 26 years.
